You can’t outwit fate by standing on the sidelines placing little sidebets about the outcome of life. either you wade in and risk everything you have to play the game or you don’t play at all. and if u don’t play u can’t win.

We know we want to love again, just as we know we want to see the world, it’s whether or not we are willing to pay the price and pack up our bags. Because love isn’t some star that you make a wish on, it’s the fire in the ships belly, sending you out to sea. Love isn’t a bus, making its rounds until it picks you up, no, love is the wind in your lungs as you shout out your soul, hoping that someone will respond. Love is not a song that you suddenly hear, it’s the song that you have to practice in order to play.

Love is waiting, you just have to be willing to get it. So, I think I’ll take my bandages off, because I’m healed and I’d rather not be a patient anymore; I think I’m ready to go see what’s out there, let’s hope for smooth sailing, and stars by night, because it’s time to find a love worth fighting for.

The beginning of love is like the big bang. An instant, brilliant flash of existence. A coming into being. Over time the vast empty swathes of space populate with planets and stars and life. And it’s a miracle. You don’t remember what it was like before because as far as you are concerned there was nothing else. You look over the little universe your love has created and you see magic. And it is. However, in time, the spaces between your stars expand. The golden light of your galaxies diminish. One by one the suns burn out and soon you are left in total darkness, a prison of shared loneliness, while you wait for your universe to swallow itself.

It is necessary to have a strong desire for even the seemingly unattainable things. Never let the impossibility of the task ahead smother the fire in you. Truly, it’s astonishing what you can achieve for yourself while chasing the things you desire the most. Even if you never catch them.

I don’t want an idea of someone, I’m too weary for masks and false versions of people. I want a love that is filled with hope of growth, a love that says “I’m here, and I’m staying.” and I don’t know if I’ll ever hear that. I just want to be brave for that love, to risk the pain it might bring, so that I can experience the good that it could be. I just want a love that is true; should I not seek any less than that? Let me never offer anything less than a heart that is humble and ready to serve. Let me be the love that I seek, so that I can know what it means to love at all, and grow in that promise.

Hold onto your pain.
Speak in petals.
Souls are like flowers,
they lose their meaning
when picked from their garden.

You were a puzzle piece
that didn’t fit into my life
until I picked up a pen
and painted a whole new picture.

Darling, you are the reason
my life has become
a work of art worth completing.
